New coaching offer & new Winter Solstice workbook
Welcome the depths of winter but the turning back to the light.
Winter Solstice
It’s Thursday the 20th of June which means we are only a day or two away from the “turning”. The turning back to the sun. Our longest night is still to come but from then we can look forward to more light in the mornings and evenings again. It will still be cold of course. Our coldest month can sometimes be August but the light, the light will be back.
It has been harder to get up and ready the kids for school over the past two weeks (and no doubt that will continue for quite a while yet) as we all just want to stay snuggly and warm in our beds. Winter is about turning inwards, going to our cave and resetting but that’s hard when the structured times our lives have do not change with the seasons.
So what can we do? Rest when we can, stay warm and hydrated (it’s so dry here in Queenstown!), eat lots of good nourishing foods, get Vitamin D (or supplement - I use the Be Pure one) and walks in fresh air. It’s okay to be in it but then it’s also okay to go much slower right now. Unless you’re a ski bunny and that’s a whole other level of energy.
I recently found Phillipa Cameron’s book Winter Warmers and am really inspired to go out an buy an Instant Pot to make nourishing dinners faster and with more ease. [If you have one I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments - are they worth it?].
Matariki Decorating
At some point this weekend I will remove all the dried leaves of Autumn and put up as many LED lights as I have. And maybe some pine and fir foraged from by the lake. It’s a little like Christmas decorating but not. Lots of stars and candles to remember our ancestors and the coming light.
There are also a lot more great resources out there now about how to celebrate Matariki and activities you can do with kids (like this one). Matariki is a growing holiday that I know will become as much loved as Christmas as we continue to acknowledge this wonderful Māori celebration.
New Winter Solstice/Matariki Reflections Workbook
I love diving back into these workbooks each season to update them for you. I go through the questions and prompts myself. It’s such a great reminder that we don’t need to push through and there are some lovely ways to connect back to ourselves, to our heart-desires, to our lives, to our loved ones, to our homes, and of course to where we live and what is going on outside. It’s about belonging and being grounded. We grow from strong roots and they are made in Winter. Download the updated Winter Workbook below.
I’d love to know in the comments what are you doing to connect to Winter this year?
New Coaching Offer
Some of you may have seen my post on Instagram about a new coaching offer. There were many reasons to develop this and put it out to you all but mostly it’s about simplicity and accessibility. I may not be using social media for my marketing (I am reading a few things on how the ROI for socials is so low compared to say SEO, paid ads or blogging which is backing up my desire to have a break from it) but I am still open for business. I am talking to women who really just want someone in their corner - for making the plan and then having someone to be accountable for. Women who don’t necessarily want or need the big strategy or have the ability right now to invest in the 4 month weekly coaching program.
We can still do great things with this new offer!
$550 per month (NZD) for two weekly calls - pay month at a time.
I wanted to create something that allowed for a fortnightly boost, support outside of those calls and then the choice to go one month at a time. So you can book a month or two and then have a break or two. You’re not locked in to 4 months.
If you’re a past client and need that boost or you're new to my coaching and want to dip your toes in then this is for you.
And yes… I know.. this is really rather tough time across all sectors at the moment. But, this is where your resilience is built. How can you be focussed, intentional and make the sales you want in this environment? Double down now so it’s easier in the future when things pick up again. [Shhh don’t tell anyone but I firmly believe that if I can support women to build the tools they need to build a business (as an endurance journey not a sprint) then they will have the tools they need to be adaptable, resilience and thrive in the coming future (it looks rather murky)].
If you’re keen to be apart of my small group of clients for July (or post school hols if you’re a mamma) then get in touch via email, comments or DMs. If you’re new to me the first 1 hour free Discovery Call is still available too.
In the meantime I am off to continue to be in Winter. To rest and get outside when it feels right. The hellebores are up already which is so welcome.
Till next time.
