When I work with clients the first thing we talk about is the dream. We go deep into the vision that they have for their business (which is actually their life too) and what it feels like energetically to have achieved it. To imagine the achievement done and that it is inevitable.
For many there are tears. For others it’s a feeling of relief. Or excitement. Or nerves. Or all of it all at once. They want it. They can feel it and they know that it is possible.
But then what happens?
The obstacles. These come in many forms from mindset to physical to logistical. Things that need to be done to make the dream happen. They can be actual stumbling blocks. Our mind wants to keep us safe and comfortable but it actually stops us from doing what needs to be done.
So what do we do?
We come back to the original feeling of being in the dream as if it was realised and done. Over and over again. You need to act from that energy in a way that moves you to that state. All you are doing is shifting time. But it’s got to be a vision that is wrapped in smells, sounds, colour - get really specific and build the story.
But often the fear is greater than the dream.
Your desire for change. Your belief in yourself must be greater than the fear of the what ifs, the worst case scenario and the effort to make it happen.
Your fear of NOT achieving the dream needs to be greater than your fear of all the little (and big) things you need to do to make it happen. The showing up, the being seen and heard, making decisions with confidence, dealing with customers and suppliers, branding, setting up tech, asking for help, leading your team, leading you etc.
Whatever your dream is, whatever the size or scope or what it represents you have to fight for it. Believe in it harder than anyone else. Believe in yourself harder and stronger than anyone else.
I love that someone’s dream to build a life that is about gardening, slowness, crafting, homesteading and choosing that is just as big as someone who wants a life of luxury, spa days, travel and heels. It can be just as scary and daunting for both those two people even though the dreams are vastly different. They are just as worthy.
You are worthy of the dream.
But are you ready to make the shift?
Do you need to give yourself permission to even have the dream first?
The shift has to happen everyday. It can come as a lightening bolt but I find, with my clients as well, that the daily intentional and consistent mahi to shift our mindset, to deepen our belief will make the journey much, much more deep and sticky. It’s like daily healthy body movement you’ve got to find the one that you love and do it everyday to make it stick for deeper long term change. [I love B The Method by the way and am nearly at day 200.]
You are greater than the sum of your parts. You are potent, powerful and courageous.
So what are you going to do today that shifts you into the energy of the dream?
How will you act from that today to make it happen?
What do you need to let go of to actually believe in yourself?
What do you need to think every single day to believe in yourself and your dream/goals/life?
Stop wasting your time and f… go for it.
And if you need help to make it happen I invite you to get that support. It is really hard to get out of our own way sometimes. Really hard to shift our mindset and understand what the best strategy is to make it happen on our own. We can do it together. I invite you to book a call with me or get back into coaching if you’ve coached with me before. There’s the month-at-a-time offer for $550nzd per month or go deep and sticky with the 4 month 1:1 customised weekly 1 hour calls Alchemy in Business program for $4400nzd (payment plans available).
This is what I do best - helping you to dream, shift and deal with the obstacles every single day.
So you can do what you do best.
